Rutherglen is a small rural township located in north-eastern Victoria, Australia, near the Murray River and close to the New South Wales border. It is about 280 km north-east of Melbourne and falls under the postcode 3685. The town has a population of around 2,500 people, giving it a quiet, close-knit community feel.
